Kyogi is made by cutting wood thinly like paper and has been used as a traditional packaging material in Japan.
This notebook is new version of original wooden notebook. bigger size and with a hard cover.

[Notes born from handicrafts]
Unlike paper, making notes from living wood took more effort than imagined. Misuzu-san of Ina carefully makes the notebooks of this tree by hand-binding each one. Of course, there are things that are warped or splashed, and of course, they are quiet, but each piece of wood is made into a notebook, taking care not to break it as much as possible. It took a lot more work than originally expected, but it was the notebook that was born because of Misuzu-san's handiwork.
