Handcrafted Glassware
This beautiful glassware was handcrafted by Hidehiko Miyazaki at Glass Run studio in Tanba-Sasayama, Hyogo. Japan.
This vase has a unique shape and the beautiful colour produced from the black beans that Hidehiko Miyazaki & his wife are growing.
The colours produced from the ashes of the black beans change depends on the seasons, the amounts of ashes they use each time to create glassware & other facts, which means it is very difficult to produce the same colours every time. Meeting their creation might be once-in-a-life-time opportunity and this fact makes their creation even more unique.

Hidehiko Miyazaki & his wife Megumi moved to Tanba-Sasayama and opened their studio in 2008.
Inspirations from living in Tanba-Sasayama gave them an idea to use black soybean which is one of the popular local products in Tanba-Sasayama to add colours to their creations.
After many experiments was done they finally succeeded to create beautiful glassware with the ashes from their black soybeans.
